Warehouse Sells for $2M

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-Volex Inc. sells its 54,664-sf warehouse facility to Route 6 Marine for $1.8 million. The building is situated on approximately four acres and includes 17,000 sf of office and research and development space.

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA-Volex Inc. sold its warehouse facility at 358 Faunce Corner Rd. to Route 6 Marine for $1.8 million. The 54,664-sf building, which is situated on approximately four acres, includes 17,000 sf of office and research and development space. Joe Flynn and Dennis Croke, both vice presidents of NAI Hunneman, represented Volex in the transaction and procured the buyer.

While the office market in the area continues to struggle to fill its space, the industrial market is experiencing relatively low availabilities. According to Spaulding & Slye Colliers’ most recent statistics, the availability rate for the office market in the Route 495/North market is at 33%. The statistics indicate that the availability rate for the industrial market in this area is at nearly 14%. The average asking rent for industrial space in the area is about $6 per sf.
