Freedom Fresh Expands Miami HQ to 92,579 SF

MIAMI-Freedom Fresh LLC, a produce wholesaler, has expanded its headquarters in the city by 29,603 sf, bringing its total headquarters space to 92,579 sf and bringing the fairly new Westpointe Business Center to 100% occupancy.

The recent warehouse space addition is in a bay adjoining its initial space at 8901 N.W. 33rd St. The company signed a five-year lease worth more than $1 million, or about $6.89 per sf. Westpointe Business Center is located at 87th Avenue and Northwest 33rd Street. The park, built in 1999, has a total of 284,637 sf of industrial space. It has managed to fill up in a county that has an overall vacancy rate of more than 9% and an inventory of nearly 156.3 million sf, according to recent quarterly industrial studies of Miami-Dade County.

Terranova Corp. and Scott Sime of CB Richard Ellis negotiated the new lease as a group effort for Westpointe Business Center. Terranova handles the management of the property, while CBRE handles the leasing. Terranova could not disclose the owner of the property.
