Triad plans to develop 1,200 residence comprising 250 apartments, 284 homes, an undetermined number of condominiums or lofts, a seven-acre aquatic center and 19 acres of commercial space. McDonough is about 25 miles south of Downtown Atlanta.

Because of its size, the project is being reviewed by the Atlanta Regional Commission and the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority. In its development application, Triad says the 284 homes would be sold to adults aged 55 or older. Willow Road would become the main thoroughfare if Triad gets permission to extend the road and connect it to Jonesboro Road, the developer says.
