Ashley Furniture Comes to Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS-South Dakota-based Furniture Outlets has two 45,000-sf Ashley stores under construction in Fridley and Shakopee, and also plans to open by year-end Ashley stores in Maplewood and Woodbury.

MINNEAPOLIS-Furniture Outlets USA says it will add at least four Ashley Furniture stores to the Twin Cities furniture retailing market. The South Dakota-based Furniture Outlets has two 45,000-sf Ashley stores under construction in Fridley and Shakopee with openings expected in August.

The company also expects to open Ashley stores in Maplewood and Woodbury by the end of the year.

Ashley’s Shakopee store will be part of a 170,000-sf complex that includes a 100,000-sf Furniture Outlets store and 18,000 sf for warehousing. The Fridley store is being built at the site of a former Wickes building, and also will serve as Furniture Outlets’ main Twin Cities distribution center.
