The 188,000 sf development was completed in 2002 on a town centre site on Dodderidge Street and Marefair, formerly occupied by the headquarters office complex of the Barclaycard credit card business. It includes a Cinemark multiplex cinema, Accor hotel and a Gala casino and produces a net income of £1.8 million per annum from 10 leases, with an average unexpired term of 24 years.

Toby Courtauld, chief executive of GPE, says: "The sale of Sol Central is in line with our stated strategy of focusing our attention on our central London business, which now accounts for over 98% of our portfolio."
