Michael E. Hoffman, Houston regional manager, tells GlobeSt.com the position was created in response to the firm' growth, which upped revenue by 198% in the last two years and took the team from nine to 24. Also during that time, a five-broker office in Austin opened and a three-employee office in San Antonio. One of Bailey's primary responsibilities is to recruit additional brokers to hike the Houston count to 40 and add another 18 in San Austin and Austin.

"Brad's background and success in the local property markets make him the ideal candidate to lead the Houston office," Hoffman said in a press release. "Brad has demonstrated excellent management and organizational skills and possesses a great deal of knowledge in the areas of planning and zoning as well as real estate management."

Bailey, who specializes in multi-tenant retail, joined the firm in February 2002. Since then, he has sold more than $38 million in retail properties. Prior to joining the firm, he spent nine years as executive and manager for his family's real estate company, Shaparral Management Inc. in Houston.
