Sports Resorts Reports Improved Finances

OWOSSO, MI-Despite ending 2003 in the black, Sports Resorts International tells the Securities and Exchange Commission it has been unable to obtain funding for a sports and entertainment complex in Mount Morris Township.

OWOSSO, MI-Sports Resorts International, Inc. says its net income moved from black to red in 2003. A subsidiary of the Owosso, MI-based company owns and operates The Colonel’s Brainerd International Raceway and Resort in Brainerd, MN.

The company also has subisdiaries involved in the manufacture and sale of drop-in bedliners and other truck accessories for the original equipment manufacturers and automotive aftermarket business.

The company has previously announced plans to develop a large sports and entertainment complex in Mount Morris Township, MI, but the company says in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing statement it has been unable to obtain the necessary funding for the project and is evaluating its options.
