WCCCD will create its new Northwest Campus at the 32-acre site. The community college is expected to use many of the existing buildings now on the campus. WCCCD is expected to move on to the campus by January 2007.

UDM, which is affiliated with the Roman Catholic church, will continue to operate its school of dentistry and related clinic at the location until January 2007 when those operations will be moved to UDM's main campus in the city.
