MIAMI-On the heels of finishing the Gables View condominium project, Coral Gables, FL-based H&H Development is planning its next condo venture in Miami.The planned project is Douglas Place, a 14-story, 83-unit boutique property. Sales are scheduled to begin in April, and a ground-breaking is planned for this June. The sellout value of the project is $20 million. The architecture firm Behar-Font & Partners PA, which designed the company’s Gables View project, is designing Douglas Place as well.Douglas Place is being developed on a one-acre parcel of land at 60 N.W. Douglas Rd. just outside Coral Gables. In addition to the residential units, the project will include 5,500 sf of ground-floor retail space. It is scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2005.The project will consist of one- and two-bedroom residences and penthouses. The sizes of the residences will range from 887 sf for one-bedroom, one-bathroom units to 1,330 sf for penthouse units, which will consist of two bedrooms plus a den and two bathrooms. Prices will start at $182,000, while penthouses will be priced from $272,950. Douglas Place is designed to have a fourth-floor recreation area with a landscaped sun deck, a large pool and a covered terrace, a clubhouse with a lounge, a bar and a billiards table, a fitness center and a barbecue area.”This project is another example of H&H’s commitment to providing attractively priced housing,” Harvey Hernandez, president of H&H Development Co., says in a statement. “Our goal is to accommodate the mid-priced market without compromising the luxury in higher-end buildings.”Hernandez tells GlobeSt.com: “H&H Development Co. has found success by fulfilling a niche in the market for centrally located properties that are more reasonably priced than most other condominium projects. Douglas Road in Miami’s Coral Way neighborhood. This project has a $21-million sellout value.
