That's up from $9.6 million in 2002 and $7.9 million in 2001. The money is typically spent on buying land, constructing the building and outfitting the restaurants with equipment, the company says. The company also plans to open 45 new franchised restaurants this year.

The company has 245 Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar restaurants in 29 states--84 are company-owned and 161 are franchised, according to the annual report. In 2004, it expects to open 20 company-owned and 45 franchised sites. The company says it has "established the necessary infrastructure and control systems to support" more than 1,000 restaurants in the US.
