The new owner will convert the Williams Express stores to Holiday Stationstores, says Ronald Erickson, chief executive officer of Holiday Cos.
Owned by Holiday Cos, Holiday Stationstores is the sole distributor of low-sulfur Blue Planet (TM) gasoline, produced by Flint Hills Resources in Minnesota. Holiday is ranked by Forbes on its 500 Largest Private Companies list.
Williams also closed on the sale of its refinery and terminals in Alaska to Flint Hills Resources, based in Wichita, KS. Holiday Stationstores has 350 combination convenience stores/gas stations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and Washington.
Koch Pipeline Co., a subsidiary of Flint Hills, bought Williams' 3.1% interest in the Trans Alaska Pipeline System. Koch already operates pipelines for refineries owned by Flint Hills Resources in Minnesota and Texas.
