MIAMI-Cushman & Wakefield’s multifamily brokerage operation has hired Rosendo Caveiro to head the company’s apartment brokerage operations in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties with Brad Capas. Caveiro, who represents institutional clients in apartment property sales, has joined the company’s South Florida crew as a director based in the firm’s local office.Most recently, Caveiro was a senior vice president and member of the Multi Housing Investment Group, a division of Grubb & Ellis’ Financial Services Group. Before that, he worked for CB Richard Ellis, where he was one of the company’s top five producers many times during his 11-year tenure. Caveiro is also a certified public accountant.Caveiro has been a broker in the South Florida commercial real estate market for 14 years. “During that time, he has earned a reputation as a top adviser to institutional owners and private investors in the acquisition and disposition of apartment communities and vacant land throughout the tri-county area,” Tere Blanca, senior managing director for C&W’s South Florida offices, says in a statement. “We look forward to Rosendo’s contributions as we solidify our dominance in the multifamily investment sales sector locally.”Keith Misner, the senior managing director and national director of C&W’s apartment sales brokerage operations, plans to expand the firm’s apartment sales advisory services in the state’s growing, 1.7-million-unit multifamily market. “Florida represents the third-largest market nationally for multifamily investment sales activity,” says Misner, who is based in the firm’s Washington, DC office.Capas, who joined Cushman & Wakefield as a senior director in November, is based in the company’s Fort Lauderdale, FL, office.
