"The building worked for them because it is free standing," Nate Bubeck of Lee & Associates' Phoenix office tells GlobeSt.com. He and Matt Hobaica, also with Lee & Associates Arizona, represented the San Diego-based C&B Properties. John Quatrina of Shell Commercial brokered the deal for Vista Control Systems.
Located at 2001 W. Melinda Lane, Skypark Commerce Center was developed in 1987 and offers 290,000 sf of industrial space within 15 buildings. Vista Control Systems, a Phoenix-based maker of high-end video graphics, will more than triple its space once it moves from its Cave Creek location, which offered only 4,000 sf. The Skypark deal includes 3,000 sf of office.
The deal includes an option to purchase the building, Bubeck says. With industrial vacancies hovering 10%, the Deer Valley could prove advantageous for interested buyers looking to expand their operations.
