First Phase of Hospital's $40M Expansion Opens

COON RAPIDS, MN-Another phase of the 80,000-sf expansion of the cardiac centers at Mercy & Unity Hospitals opened this week. Mortenson is the contractor and BWBR is the architects on the project.

COON RAPIDS, MN-As part of the $40-million expansion of The Cardiac Centers of Mercy & Unity Hospitals, new catheterization laboratories, as well as 24 new inpatient rooms and 14 short-stay rooms, opened this week at Allina’s Mercy Hospital. The 80,000-sf expansion of the cardiac centers at the two hospitals began in January 2003 and will be completed in June.

The project is opening in phases.
