Another Hotel Stakes a Claim at Dulles

DULLES, VA-Work has topped off on the Embassy Suites Hotel Dulles-North, a 150-room extended stay property near the Washington-Dulles International Airport. Commercial real estate developer and owner the Buccini/Pollin Group is behind the development of the six-story hotel, which will be physically linked to another Buccini/Pollin project, a 90-room Homewood Suites by Hilton hotel that is also currently being built. Together, the properties will cost $38 million to complete. “The Dulles Corridor area of Virginia is expanding rapidly, and these two hotels will anchor the community by providing a wide array of services to guests and area residents,” Buccini/Pollin president Dave Pollin notes.

The Embassy Suites property will feature all the requisite amenities for visitors, including 10,000 sf of meeting space, a business center, swimming pools, a fitness center and a restaurant. The adjoined Embassy Suites and Homewood Suites hotels, both of which are scheduled for completion late this year, are not the only such properties scheduled to sprout up in the area within the next few years. Developers Lerner Enterprises and the Tower Cos. announced last week the beginning of construction on a 151-room Residence Inn by Marriott just a few miles from the airport.
