The new 40-foot-by-100-foot mural at 1214 Randolph in Downtown Detroit promotes the bank's "True Possibility" advertising theme. The 1214 Randolph building is located on the corner of Randolph and Monroe Streets at the entrance to Greektown.
The wallscape features inspirational quotes about possibility. New quotes will be added on a bi-weekly basis.
Detroit has had several wallscapes on the exterior of Downtown buildings over the past decade or so.
The image that kicked off the latest trend was a painting of Lions star Barry Sanders. After he left the team, the Cadillac Towers in Downtown gained an image of the Red Wings' Steve Yzerman. The Yzerman image also includes a plug for Nextel.
The David Whitney Building features a giant mural of whales frolicking. That view, painted by an area environmental artist, known as Wyland, is visible to fans inside Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers.
