TRACY, CA-Restoration Hardware Inc. of Corte Madera, CA, a publicly traded home furnishings retailer, has leased a 283,712-sf distribution warehouse here from Denver-based ProLogis. The building is located in ProLogis’ 1.7-million-sf Central Valley Industrial Center located off Interstate 205 near I-5. The building address is 2900 N MacArthur Dr. The term of the lease is “more than five years,” a ProLogis spokesperson tells GlobeSt.com. The lease rate was not disclosed and not otherwise immediately available. The lease marks the first time Restoration Hardware has leased space from ProLogis. Other tenants in the industrial park include Kraft and Cost Plus. “This transaction reflects the continuing interest in Northern California and highlights the Central Valley as a key region for distribution,” says Scott Lamson, senior vice president and market officer for ProLogis.All told, ProLogis owns 5.9 million sf in 54 buildings in the East Bay. The company’s East Bay portfolio is about 71% occupied, according to the company’s 2003 annual report filed with the SEC earlier this year. ProLogis has another 77.6 acres of undeveloped land in the East Bay.Duane Fitch and Dave Haggerty of CB Richard Ellis represented Restoration Hardware in its lease negotiations. ProLogis was represented in-house by Dwain Berry and Scott Lamson.
