Prange says his business continues to generate "significant cash flow," enough to fund about $22 million of capital expenditures last year.
Of the 97 new stores opened in its fiscal year ended Feb. 28, 68 were Christopher & Banks stores and 29 were C.J. Banks stores.
For the fiscal year, net sales increased 15% to $390.7 million while same-store sales declined 2%. Net income increased to $39.3 million, up a little from the previous year.
Christopher & Banks has 547 stores in 42 states.
