Cherokee County Looking at 1,000-Home Mixed-Use Project

ATLANTA-Greenfield Properties has submitted preliminary plans to the Atlanta Regional Commission and the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority for an undetermined amount of commercial space on 400 acres at River Pointe Parkway and GA 5 in northeast Canton, GA.

ATLANTA-Cherokee County, 20 miles north of Downtown and one of the fastest-developing areas in the Southeast, is about to get another multi-million-dollar mixed-use project.

Greenfield Properties of Marietta, GA, just outside of Atlanta, has submitted preliminary plans to the Atlanta Regional Commission and the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority for an undetermined amount of commercial space and 1,000 homes. The site is on 400 acres at River Pointe Parkway and GA 5 in northeast Canton, GA.

Canton and neighboring Woodstock, GA are among the 20 fastest-growing cities in the US by percentage growth, among cities over 10,000, according to the latest population estimates from the US Census Bureau.
