$30M Shopping Center Opens With Grocery Store

LEESBURG, VA-The 96,500-sf Marketplace at Potomac Station edges toward completion with the debut of its first tenant, Giant Food. An additional 15 tenants are expected to join the roster, marking the completion of the retail destination. The shopping center is one of developer Edens & Avant’s trademarked Necessity Retail Centers. The real estate company, which maintains its corporate headquarters in Columbia, SC, shelled out $30 million to facilitate the development. The company’s Washington, DC regional headquarters in Bethesda, MD, spearheaded the project.

Marketplace at Potomac occupies an 18-acre parcel on Potomac Station Dr. at the intersection of Route 7 and Route 15. The center will feature a wide range of tenants, and among those that will soon open their doors are Caribou Coffee, Hollywood Video, Subway, Tiger Den-Tae Kwon Do and the UPS Store.
