New Multifamily Leader at NAHB

WASHINGTON, DC-Change is afoot at the National Association of Home Builders with the organization’s recent tapping of Carmel McGuire to head up the position of director Affordable Housing for Multifamily. McGuire, who brings with her a fitting set of skills acquired from her recent position with the National Association for County Community and Economic Development, has taken over duties from her predecessor, Greg Brown.

“The development and preservation of affordable rental housing and the programs that support affordable apartment development are critical to meeting the housing needs of working families,” says NAHB Multifamily Council chairman Granger MacDonald. “Carmel’s experience, particularly in community development at the local level, will be of tremendous value to our members as we continue our mission to promote and expand affordable housing opportunities in this country.” McGuire has also spent time at the National Association of Local Housing Finance Agencies, as well as the US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Affordable Housing Programs.
