Schenker USA Relocates with 15,000 SF Lease

WOBURN, MA-Schenker USA, a Freeport, NY-based company that provides integrated logistics services, is leasing 15,266 sf at 20 Commerce Way. The deal represents a relocation of the company's regional facility.

WOBURN, MA-Schenker USA is leasing 15,266 sf at 20 Commerce Way. The company, a provider of integrated logistics services, is based in Freeport, NY and the deal represents a relocation of its regional facility. Mark Stevens, SIOR, principal of GVA Thompson Doyle Hennessey & Stevens, represented Schenker in the transaction, while Jason Levendusky and Hunter Emerson, of CB Richard Ellis, represented property owner, CalEast.

Lease rates for this deal were not available, but the average asking rent for office space in the city is approximately $19 per sf. According to Trammell Crow Co.’s most recent statistics, Woburn’s office market has an overall availability rate of 23%, a figure that is only slightly lower than the city’s rate in January when it was up to 24%. The city experienced a positive absorption rate for its office space of 55,000 sf as of this past April.
