Schulze made a $50-million gift to the university in four years ago that will help pay for the building, according to the university. Schulze's gift is the largest ever reported by a college or university in Minnesota.
Besides Schulze, also attending the announcement ceremony will be John Albers of Opus Corp., the contractor for the project. Gerald Rauenhorst, the founder of Minnetonka-based Opus, is also a longtime benefactor and board member of the school.
St. Thomas operates a graduate school of business of more than 2,500 students in Downtown Minneapolis.
St. Thomas plans to announce more details about the building and a new subsidiary of the college at a press conference today.
