CMC Group Enter Coconut Grove With 33-Story Condo Tower

COCONUT GROVE, FL-CMC Group Inc. is planning to enter this prestigious Florida market with Grovenor House, a 33-story, ultra-luxury condominium tower. The exclusive development will consist of 151 sizable units that will range from 1,600 sf to 7,000 sf, with prices ranging from the $600,000s to more than $5 million. The sales center is set to open in May, and the project is scheduled for completion in spring 2006. Cervera Real Estate is managing sales of the project.Grovenor House was designed by Architect Luis Revuelta/Revuelta Vega Leon. Amenities and services planned include a swimming pool, a tennis court, a fitness center, and concierge and valet services.The project is on a 3.5-acre site at 2627 S. Bayshore Dr., across from a marina and the popular Monty’s restaurant. Upscale shopping and dining is located nearby in Coconut Grove, as is live theater at the Coconut Grove Playhouse and Vizcaya Museum & Gardens.Coconut Grove has been known as a prestigious area of South Florida. “We are pleased to have acquired the site in such a prime location for development,” Ugo Colombo, chairman and CEO of CMC Group, based in Miami says in a statement. “Grovenor House will complement the existing residential component along Bayshore Drive and will also add a new dimension to the area as a distinctive condominium.” The developer could not be reached by press time for further project details.Colombo has developed more than three million sf in residential and commercial properties. His projects include Bristol Tower, Santa Maria, 4000 Ponce and Porto Vita.
