Ryan Breaks Ground on $185M Dean Lakes Project

SHAKOPEE, MN-The $185-million mixed-use project on 273 acres features an 84-acre conservation area as well as residential, retail, office and high-finish industrial buildings, one the largest mixed-use developments in the Twin Cities' southwest region.

SHAKOPEE, MN-Ryan Cos. recently broke ground on a $185-million Dean Lakes project, a Twin Cities mixed-use development that integrates residential, retail, office and high-finish industrial area at 273 acres on Highway 169 and County Road 83. Ken Carlson, vice president of development at Ryan, says one aspect that sets Dean Lakes apart from other developments is the 84 acres of dedicated conservation area that features an extensive regional trail system, parklands and wetlands. The conservation area will include rain gardens, over three miles of trails, parklands and wetlands, according to Carlson.

Dean Lakes will be one the largest mixed-use developments ever to be initiated in the Twin Cities’ southwest region. The project blends 42 acres of residential space–295 housing units priced from $200,000 to $500,000—-with 44 acres of retail space as well as 90 acres of industrial and office space.
