"The net lease, sale/leaseback, 1031 and TIC businesses are one of the most active and interesting parts of the real estate business today and that is reflected in the great interest and attendance we have for RealShare Net Lease," says Richard Kelley, director of the RealShare Conference Series. "RealShare Net Lease is a great combination of information and networking that has quickly become the 'can't miss' event in the industry."
The always-popular Town Hall Meeting feature will focus on "The State of the Net-Lease Landscape." Moderated by Sterling Champ, senior vice president at CB Richard Ellis, the forum will spotlight speakers Patricia Del Rosso, president, Inland Real Estate Exchange Corp.; Bernard Haddigan, senior vice president, managing director, Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Inc.; Laurie Hawkes, president US Realty Advisors LLC; and Gary Ralston, president and COO, Commercial Net Lease Realty Inc. Questions to be addressed within this informal format include: What does it take to successfully execute net-lease, sale-leaseback, 1031 exchange and tenant-in-common transactions in today's business climate?
A general session on capital markets will be followed by a variety of concurrent sessions on topics such as non-traditional property types, life after FIN 46 and supply and demand in the 1031 Exchange marketplace. A special luncheon presentation, moderated by Timothy Snodgrass, president and COO, Argus Realty Investors LP, will take on the forecast for tenant-in-common transactions. Expected speakers include Rob Hannah, TSG Real Estate LLC; Michael Houge, principal/CEO, Upland Real Estate Group Inc.; John King, vice president/regional manager, Investment Property Exchange Services Inc.; Richard Lipton, partner, Baker & McKenzie; and Greg Paul, CEO, Omni Brokerage Inc.
A variety of other sessions will put the spotlight on the current sale-leaseback market, accounting and tax issues and sub-credit tenant net leases. A general session where corporate CFOs and tenants can sound off on issues affecting them will round out the day's events. That session will be moderated by Stephen Tinsley, senior vice president/corporate finance, Equis Corp, with speakers such as Merrie Frankel, vice president, Moody's Investors Service; Randi Kahn, director, Citigroup Global Markets; and Gerard Vanella, vice president, global real estate & client services, JP Morgan Chase.
The day will be capped off by a cocktail reception where attendees will have the opportunity to visit with buyers, sellers and financiers at the "Deal Corral" where participating companies and transactional players will have a table to gather around for casual or serious conversation.
