Park Plaza Hotels Expands into Croatia, Ireland

MINNETONKA, MN-Agreements with the Wren's Hotel Group of England and Fitzwilliam Hotel Group will bring the total number of hotels to 23 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa by the end of 2004.

MINNETONKA, MN-Park Plaza Hotels Europe has signed two major business deals that will enable it to expand into Croatia and Ireland. The subsidiary of Minnetonka, MN-based Carlson Hotels Worldwide signed a franchise contract with the Wren’s Hotel Group of England to operate Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts in Croatia, and an agreement granting the Ireland-based Fitzwilliam Hotel Group territorial franchise rights to expand the brand throughout that country.

Park Plaza Hotels Europe is the development partner in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts, which is part of Carlson Hotels Worldwide, which has 1,690 hotel, resort, restaurant and cruise ship operations in 82 countries. It is part of the Carlson Cos., a travel, hotel and incentives business.
