The Tomball Town Center is being developed by NewQuest Properties of Houston. The project is anchored by a 78,000-sf Kroger Signature store, which is rising in sync with the 66,248 sf of inline space. NewQuest's David Meyers and Eric Walker are steering the leasing drive for a property with rates ranging from $20 per sf to $24 per sf.
Myers tells GlobeSt.com that the team has another 20,000 sf awaiting signatures. The new just-signed tenants should be opening doors in August, he says.
The "done" deals have two 10-year leases to Hollywood Video and Washington Mutual and the other seven are five-year agreements. Hollywood Video took 6,200 sf of inline space while WaMu reserved a pad site for a 3,800-sf build-to-suit. The other signings came from Paul's Pizza, 3,500 sf; Berkeley Eye Center, 3,200 sf; Sprint PCS, 2,700 sf; Vogue Nail Salon, 1,500 sf; TGF Haircutters, 1,400 sf; Cold Stone Creamery, 1,400 sf; and UPS Store, 1,400 sf. The project is rising on the northwest corner of FM 2920 and Texas 249.
