IT Firm Heads to Reston With 66,000-SF Lease

RESTON, VA-Plaza America III, one of the four buildings that comprise the one-million-sf Plaza America office compound, has opened its doors to a new tenant, STG Inc. The information technology and homeland security services firm has decided to relocate its corporate offices in Fairfax, VA to a 66,000-sf space within the 275,000-sf class A building. The move to the tower allows for consolidation of other offices, as well as additional space to accommodate anticipated future growth. STG, represented by Grubb and Ellis, signed a long-term lease on the space with Atlantic Realty Cos. Financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed; however, class A office space in Reston goes for about $23.50 per-sf, according to Advantis Real Estate Services Cos.’ First Quarter 2004 Office Market Report. “After searching for more than two years throughout Northern Virginia and Maryland, analyzing nearly 20 different locations, we unanimously decided that the Plaza America facility offered the best solution,” STG president and CEO Simon Lee says.
