DEL MAR, CA-Morrison & Foerster LLP law firm has signed on for 78,198 sf of class A office space for buildings planned north of the I-5 and I-805 merge, at 12531 High Bluff Dr. The 10-year lease totals just under $29.9 million. Morrison & Foerster, a law firm with 1,000 lawyers in 19 offices worldwide, intends to use this space as their San Diego headquarters. June 2005 is the tentative occupancy date for the office complex.The High Bluff project includes three-story and four-story class A office buildings, totaling 157,859 sf. San Diego-based Brian Paul and Associates Architects & Planners designed the project, which also features subterranean and structured parking. Prentiss Properties and Southwind Construction, Inc. are developing the project. Prentiss Properties is a full-service real estate company with expertise in acquisitions, development, construction, property management and leasing and holds a national portfolio of office properties, with some 1.2 million sf in San Diego County. Included in the San Diego holdings are 500,000 sf in the Del Mar Heights San Diego Corporate Center. Southwind Construction is a general construction and real estate development firm, developing both commercial properties and residential communities. Southwind has been active in development in San Diego for the past 15 years.
