$14M Boutique Hotel Plan Unveiled

MINNEAPOLIS-The former Fairmont Hotel building at 9th and Hennepin will be converted into a Chambers by RWB Development Co. International boutique developer Ira Drukier and local real estate businessman Ralph Burnet are leading the redevelopment.

MINNEAPOLIS-RWB Development Co. says it plans to develop Chambers, the first modern design boutique hotel in Downtown. Located in the former Fairmont Hotel building at 9th and Hennepin, the $14-million project is slated for completion in spring 2005.

The luxury hotel will feature 24 suites, a cafe, nightclub, roof-top event space and become the new home of La Belle Vie restaurant.

The hotel will be modeled after the original Chambers hotel, which is located in New York City, in the heart of the upscale Fifth Avenue retail district.
