Abrams Buys Software Firm

ATLANTA-Abrams Industries Inc., a 79-year-old, locally based company owning about 1.1 million sf of shopping centers in the Southeast and Midwest and 200,000 sf of office properties in metro Atlanta, has acquired iTendant Inc. iTendant is a provider of service-request-and-maintenance software to commercial building owners and operators. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.Abrams bought iTendant through Servidyne Systems LLC, a wholly owned energy-management subsidiary. “The acquisition increases Abrams Industries’ portfolio of offerings designed to improve facility operating performance,” says Alan Abrams, co-chair, president and CEO of Abrams Industries.Steve Hassett, president and CEO of iTendant, says his customers “will certainly benefit from Abrams’ financial resources as well as from Servidyne’s deep maintenance and engineering expertise.”
