The Sign of the Beefcarver restaurant on Gratiot at Metropolitan Parkway will be demolished and relocated to make room for a new CVS Pharmacy.
Tentative plans call for the 30-year-old Sign of the Beefcarver restaurant building to be torn down and reconstructed at the site of the vacant Crown Furniture building located immediately north of the restaurant. The Beefcarver Corp. purchased the property in January after the furniture store went out of business.
The new development fits in with the township's South Gratiot Avenue Redevelopment plan, according to township Supervisor Robert Cannon.
