The offices were relocated from 601 Sawyer St., also in the CBD. Chip Horne in the Houston office for Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc. tells GlobeSt.com that the move coincided with an expired lease for a similar-size office. Tracy Whitehead with the City of Houston assisted in the site search and negotiations.

The new address is 500 Jefferson St., a 390,000-sf, 20-story building with a 50% occupancy in a three-million-sf complex. The Chicago-based Trizec had in-house broker, Gary Loh, negotiating its terms to backfill space emptied a couple years ago by Enron. Office rent in Cullen Center is on the market for $15 per sf gross.
