Ginn's team sold 400 lots valued at an aggregate $174 million in four hours to global buyers. "the staggering sales total ranks with the highest one-day, single location totals in U.S. real estate history," says Bobby Ginn, president and CEO of Ginn Co.

The buyers converged on the 1,900-acre Bella Collina community in this tiny farming town located on Lake Apopka in Lake County, about 30 miles northwest of Downtown Orlando. The Ginn Co. hosted more than 1,000 couples, families and individuals during the April 24-25 weekend event, housing them for free in homes at other nearby Ginn resorts.

The lots were priced from $300,000 to $1.3 million. The properties ranged in size from 35 feet by 150 feet deep to 55 feet by 150 feet. The sites are on the shores of Lake Apopka and Lake Siena, a 300-acre private lake on Bella Collina property. At buildout, Bella Collina will consist of 800 home sites with lake and golf views, a championship golf course designed by Nick Faldo, a clubhouse, a health and day spa and an equestrian center.

"In the span of 30 days, we sold nearly 1,200 home sites and condominiums for more than $344 million to property owners from around the world interested in making Central Florida their home," says Ginn. His company is based in Celebration, FL, the town of 8,000 residents built by Walt Disney World in Osceola County.
