Shakopee Town Square Sells For $3M

SHAKOPEE, MN-The 100,000-sf multi-tenant retail property was sold to Minnesota School of Business, which plans to open a school in part of the space. The center is the last retail property owned by Carlson Real Estate.

SHAKOPEE, MN-The 100,000-sf multi-tenant portion of Shakopee Town Square, a shopping center near the intersection of Highway 169 and County Road 69, was recently sold to the Minnesota School of Business for about $3 million. Shakopee Town Square totals about 222,000 sf if Marcus Theaters and a former Kmart store are included, says Tim Prinsen, a broker for Welsh Cos., a commercial real estate firm based in Eden Prairie.

“This is the last of Carlson’s retail properties,” notes Prinsen, a vice president of investment services at Welsh.

Minnesota School of Business, which plans to open a school at the center, also bought a portion of the now vacant Kmart store, Prinsen adds.
