Ginger Baecker, the hospital's director of satellite centers, tells GlobeSt.com that the construction was blocking the center's visibility for patients. In making the move to 16552 Southwest Freeway, the center took a 10-year lease that added about 1,000 sf, she says.
Woman's Hospital has eight satellite offices so patients don't have to drive to the Medical Center, its primary facility along Fannin Street on the south side of town. The plan is to add one satellite location every other year, she says.
Randy Mason in Colliers International's Houston office represented the hospital. Scott Davis with CB Richard Ellis Inc.'s local team handled talks for the property owner, Baita Sugar Land Partners. The 400,000-sf Colony Square advertises rates at $24 per sf to $27 per sf.
