RED is headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ while CDC is based in Denver.

The development, on 65 acres at West 104th Avenue and US 36, will be anchored by a SuperTarget. Some of the other first tenants include Romano's, Macaroni Grill, Pei Wei Asian Diner, Panera Bread and Bank One.

The SuperTarget is scheduled to open this October, while the balance is slated for completion in spring of 2005.

The center, with an estimated completed value of more than $70 million, is expected to bring an additional $150 million in retail sales to Westminster.

The development is being designed to be reminiscent of a Victorian village. It will be connected to the Westminster Promenade across US 36 by an underground tunnel. The Promenade includes the Westminster Westin Hotel as well as the No. 1 AMC movie theater in the region.

Walnut Creek also is adjacent to a proposed RTD commuter rail stop between Denver and Boulder and is near connections to Westminster's pedestrian/bike trail system.

The center is being leased by Denver-based SullivanHayes Cos.
