Career Coaching for Kids, a test preparation agency, drew up a 39-month lease valued at $90,234 for 1,671 sf in the Youth Family Arts Center in Scottsdale. The company will take the Building A office space in early May.
"This is an expansion for them," Laura Becker, a broker with DAUM Commercial Real Estate Services, tells GlobeSt.com. Located at 9151 East Bell Road, the Youth Family Arts Center was built in 2002 and sits just east of Loop 101 in Scottsdale. Scottsdale-based Career Coaching for Kids provides a variety of test-prep and career consultation services for children and teenagers.
The non-profit Mental Health Advocates Coalition of Arizona signed a three-year lease, with a $23,541 pay-out, for 826 sf at 49 E. Thomas Road in Phoenix. The organization makes the move from a downtown office of about the same size.
Built in 1974, the two-story, 18,892-sf East Thomas Road office building has a tenant roster with realty companies, a ministry and several non-profit organizations. "The lease rate and location were a lot better for them," Becker says of the relocation decision.
Becker most recently represented Phoenix-based collection agency Innovative Debt Recovery Inc. in its three-year lease for 1,407 sf at 49 E. Thomas Road, where occupancy reached 40% with the new agreement. Most tenants are involved in longer-term leases, says Becker, who was the sole broker for the trio of deals.
