Law Firm Keeps 45,000 SF for 11 Years

ORLANDO-Locally based Morgan, Colling & Gilbert, PA, inked an 11-year lease renewal for 45,680 sf of office space at the Wachovia Tower in the Center City area of town. The law firm will occupy the ninth, 10th and 14th floors in the 16-story building.The law firm has been a tenant of Wachovia Tower–located at 20 N. Orange Ave.– since it was founded in 1988 by John Morgan. Jeff Sweeney and David Chapin, of Grubb & Ellis Commercial Florida represented the firm and John Gilbert of CB Richard Ellis represented the landlord in the lease transaction. According to Chapin, the average rent is in the low $20s and Morgan, Colling & Gilbert join Wachovia Bank in leasing the most space in the building. The 262,517-sf property was built in 1983 and renovated in 1988. Morgan, Colling & Gilbert also has regional Florida offices at 101 E. Kennedy Blvd. in Tampa, 815 S. Main St. in Jacksonville and 12800 University Dr. in Fort Myers.
