United Properties to Build 115,000-SF Retail Center

LAKEVILLE, MN-The 69,000-sf grocery store that will anchor the center at County Road 50 and 176th Street West will feature the latest prototype of Rainbow Foods from its new owner, Milwaukee-based Roundy's Inc.

LAKEVILLE, MN-United Properties says it will develop Argonne Village, a 115,000-sf grocery-anchored center at the intersection of County Road 50 and 176th Street West. Lease negotiations are under way with Milwaukee-based Roundy’s, Inc. for a 69,000-sf Rainbow Foods, according to Keith Ulstad, vice president of retail development for United Properties. This would be Roundy’s first Rainbow prototype since buying the chain, he adds.

Construction is expected to begin this spring and completion is slated for spring of 2005. The project, which is located in the southeast quadrant of I-35 and County Road 50 at the Intersection of 176th, will also feature a 30,000-sf attached shop space and a 14,500-sf standalone Walgreen’s. Other tenants are expected to include Taco Bell and Long John Silver’s. The site is also designed to accommodate up to four additional retail tenants in freestanding buildings.
