The Port of Wilmington sits at the mouth of the Christina River off I-495 and features a wealth of open and covered storage areas, in addition to approximately 600,000 sf of temperature-controlled storage space.

"The Port of Wilmington is an integral part of our state's economy and this new warehouse will help keep 300 employees hard at work there," says Minner. "Without the DRBA support, construction of the warehouse would be a year or more away. If the DRBA approves this assistance, construction can begin this year." The DRBA has put the request before the board, which is scheduled to meet on May 18.
