LYON TOWNSHIP, MI-Southfield-based Grubb & Ellis brokers recently recorded a sale and a lease in Quadrants Industrial Research Center, a class-A industrial park in the Oakland County township. Mohawk Carpet leased 42,000 sf of industrial space owned by First Industrial Development.

Grubb & Ellis senior vice president and director of industrial services Jon Savoy represented both parties in the lease as well as Quadrants, Inc. in the sale of 5.63 acres of land to First Industrial Development.

Mohawk’s site was selected for its proximity to its customer base, Savoy says. First Industrial Development is constructing a 61,000-sf distribution facility. The remaining 19,000 square feet is being marketed by Grubb & Ellis and will be available for occupancy in December 2004.
