The Bloomington, MN-based commercial real estate firm says it has completed a number of real estate transactions—ranging from clinic expansions and consolidations to site selection for new clinics—on behalf of HealthEast, the largest health care provider in the Twin Cities east metro area.
HealthEast identified "shifting patient demographics and traffic patterns early in the cycle," explains Nancy Miller, senior consultant, United Properties' corporate real estate services and project leader for the HealthEast assignments. As a result, they decided to relocate and update their facilities, she adds.
In addition to managing the site selection and leasing for HealthEast's new clinic located in Maplewood, United Properties has also assisted the healthcare provider with the consolidation of two East Metro clinics into one expanded clinic located at Helmo Avenue and 10th Street North in Oakdale and the sale of six obsolete facilities.
The deals represent about 50% of HealthEast's clinics and medical office buildings in the eastern half of the Twin Cities metropolitan area, she reports.
United Properties also manages leasing for Woodwinds Health Campus, a collaboration between HealthEast and Children's Hospitals and Clinics, located in Woodbury.
Besides Miller, United Properties' HealthEast service team includes Peter Opitz, corporate real estate services consultant, and the United Properties' east metro leasing team of Rob Kost, Tom Stella and Mark Stevens.
