Kislak Broker Sells Five Apt. Buildings for $5M

WOODBRIDGE, NJ-Joni Sweetwood, a broker with the locally based Kislak Co., has arranged the separate sale of five apartment buildings in three counties with a total of 127 units. The properties traded for just under $5.2 million. The buyers and sellers were local investors, who were not identified.

In Union County, the two properties that changed hands were both in the city of Elizabeth–the 20-unit 311 Chilton St., a garden complex built back in the 1960s, and the four-story, 24-unit 415 Westminster Ave. Sweetwood sold the latter property for the second time, with the sellers deciding to move the building “because of a new tax affecting individual partners, and to realize a large appreciation on their original investment.”
