"They have developments around the valley so it's a good central location for them," Jim Watkins with Lee & Associates Arizona in Phoenix tells GlobeSt.com about the developer's decision to relocate in mid-June from 2415 E. Camelback Road to the two-year-old, 115,000-sf office building at 4646 E. Van Buren St. Newquist Ault has several projects in the general vicinity of East Gateway Centre.
Watkins says 65%-leased building's class A ranking and location were crucial to the negotiations. He and Craig Coppola, also with Lee & Associates, represented the owner, McShane Corp. of Chicago. Tom Johnston with Cushman & Wakefield of Arizona Inc. represented Newquist Ault in the deal.
