GlobeSt.com EXCLUSIVE: George Lipscomb Named GM of One Atlantic Center

ATLANTA-The Midtown 50-story, 1.1-million-sf One Atlantic Center has a new general manager today. George R. Lipscomb, a former executive at Carter and Associates here and owner of locally based Cane Island Services Inc., replaces Richard Amon, who has moved to another real estate services company.Sally Elliott, senior vice president of PM Realty Group, which manages the 17-year-old property at 1201 West Peachtree St., named Lipscomb to the post but didn’t disclose why the change was made. Jones Lang LaSalle is the leasing agent.One Atlantic Center, owned by Sumitomo Life Realty (NY) Inc., is 81% occupied by 25 tenants. One of the larger tenants is law firm Holland & Knight, which has occupied 74,000 sf on a 10-year renewal lease since May 2002. The estimated average asking base rent is $25 per sf, says leasing manager Audrey Windsor of Jones Lang LaSalle.Lipscomb, who manages an on-site staff of 12, was vice president of facilities services at Carter & Associates from 1992 to 1998. He moved to OneSource Co. as division president and vice president from 1998 to 2001. Prior to establishing his own business, he was an independent contractor for the Agilis Trading Group in Atlanta from July 2001 to June 2003.
