Financial details of the transaction between the General Services Administration, which leases the space on behalf of the US Attorney's office, and property owner Area 16B Associates LP, have not been released. However, Manekin LLC markets space at the class A property on the owner's behalf for $22 per sf. While Mankekin represented Area 16B in the deal, Crown Partners stood in for the tenant.

The 25-story tower at 36 S. Charles St. has been around since 1975. As the property's longtime manager, Manekin spearheaded a $3 million renovation a few years ago that left the building a top contender in the Baltimore office marketplace. "The US Attorney's lease brings 36 S. Charles to 85% occupancy," notes Sharon Caplan, Manekin senior vice president of sales and leasing. "The building continues to reposition itself in the CBD and looks forward to continuing to satisfy the business community."
