Mission Motorsports Relocates

IRVINE, CA-Mission Motorsports has signed a one-year lease on its existing facility in a sale-leaseback and plans to relocate to new headquarters in the Irvine Spectrum, according to Voit Commercial Brokerage.Mark Sigler of the Irvine office of Voit Commercial reports that Mission, a retailer of motorcycles and watercraft, has sold its former facility in Laguna Niguel to the Svensson Family Trust and has leased back the building. Mission will occupy its existing facility for up to 12 months until its new headquarters, now under construction in Irvine Spectrum, is completed.Sigler and Voit’s Chris Deason represented Mission in the $3.4 million sale-leaseback of its former headquarters at 25891 Crown Valley Parkway, with Muller Commercial representing Svensson Family Trust. Mission Motorsports has retained architectural firm LPA and development firm Arrow Development to build a 39,900-sf showroom at One Doppler in Irvine, where the motorsports retailer plans to move into its new building by first quarter 2005. The Svensson Family Trust plans to redevelop the former Mission building in Laguna Niguel into medical offices after Mission Motorsports completes its lease. Mission is moving into larger facilities to accommodate its growing business, Sigler explains.
