AmREIT Doubles HQ Space

HOUSTON-The local REIT settles into 11,063 sf on the 10th floor of 8 Greenway Plaza, moving up two floors with a five-year lease for its 18-year headquarters address. The broker's rep says a below-market deal and large TI allowance made the close.

HOUSTON-AmREIT Realty Investment Corp. has doubled the size of the 18-year headquarters address at 8 Greenway Plaza, moving into 11,063 sf with a five-year lease for the 10th floor.

Trey Halberdier with the Houston office of Cresa Partners tells GlobeSt.com that talks produced a below-market deal with a large allowance for tenant improvements to the class A space. He and Kevin Hodges, also with Cresa, represented AmREIT, which was in the market several months reviewing options in the Greenway Plaza submarket.
